Abstract
By nature pre Islamic Arabs used to preserve the record of their lineage in memories, poetry and prose. Actually it was a divine arrangement to preserve the prestigious pedigree of Rasulallah till doams days. In ancient Arabic society, poet played a vital role in recording the family tree of Holy Prophets dues to their moral qualities, spiritual power, excellence and nobility of their characters. Authors of Seerat -ul- Nabawi termed these patterns of poetry as an authentic and reliable source that shed light on the characteristics of the decedents of Holy Prophet P.B.U.H. this articles is a brief selection and analysis of these verses.
