Abstract

"Muslim Ummah is confronting currently the most crucial problem of extremism. It also includes declaring one another unbelievers or infidals merely on the basis of faith and adoration. This type of conduct has not been allowed by the Holy Prophet (PBUH). His seerah contains a lot of incidents which discourage blind immitation. It provokes also discovering the philosophy behind the actions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his companions. In fact, some theologians interpreted the words and actions in such a way that their followers could not perceive the actual situation of prophet's life and practice of his companions against it. Consequently, sectarianism and practice of takfir has now spread so much. This article explains the problem in context with different types of extremist attitudes and also presents their solution in accordance with Prophet's seerh."
