Abstract
The Muslims are agreed that the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is the second of the two divine sources of Islam, after the Glorious Qur'an. The authentic Sunnah is contained within the vast body of Hadith literature. Both the sources are interlinked and obviously the Sunnah is the most reliable explanation of the Holy Quran. A hadith is composed of two parts: the matn (text) and the isnad (chain of reporters). A text may seem to be logical and reasonable but it needs an authentic isnad with reliable reporters to be acceptable. If a hadith don’t have an authentic isnad is called "Da'eef" (Weak) Hadith, but there are different categories of “Hadith Da'eef". That’s why occurred strife between Islamic scholars that can a Hadith Da'eef makes a legal source of Islami sharia or not? In this article we will discuss the different point of views about legality of Hadith Da'eef will be discussed.
