Abstract

Extremism and Militancy are taken as one and the same as these are two names of one reality. Conservatism and Extremism are the bases and Militancy is the outcome of that. Behavioral studies show that this is not something on the surface level but it has its deep ideological foundations. What is an ideological foundation? In Pakistani context, religion is deeply rooted in the country and directly affects the culture as well. Religious interpretations on various juristic and theological issues caused the society into division and dissension which finally let towards sectarianism. This mindset extracting the legality and authoritativeness from religious sources has become an indispensible character of Pakistani society. All religious discourses are now based on this connotation, be they of religious, social, economic and cultural nature. Its significant to analyze this situation keeping this narrative in view specially extremist and militant behavior. a. Those who are access able to become a suicider are influenced by this ideology b. This ideology is being used as a medium by the manufacturers and producers of extremists and militants in order to gain their hidden objectives (religious, monetary and others). Co Methodology: The study applies textual analysis of militant ideology in Pakistan and its repercussions on the society. Primary sources on the subject would be cited. Sources written in other than English language would be translated according to the principles of translation studies. Content analysis approach is to be applied to study of books, research articles, newspaper analysis and other interviews. References would be given at the end of the article. Citation style to be practiced would be of Chicago Manual of style.
