Abstract

Islam is an universal religion which cares about the rights of human beings. Naturally, Islamic instructions are balanced and perfect for every sphere of life. Society is the combination of adults and children. Islam underlines the rights of each individual; Children are the ultimate asset of a nation. Therefore every civilized society takes special care of child rights. Child rights have been emphasized by United Nations (UN) and a convention regarding the child rights has been signed by 190 countries including Pakistan to ensure the protection of children. The current paper is concerned with child rights under the Islamic perspective. This is an effort to elaborate its meaning and scope to provide a documented material to the concerned departments for suggesting amendments in related laws.
