Abstract
This study revolves around the seven odes and their Arabic translations in the sub-continent. It also studied the effects of Quran and Ahadith on the translation, explanation and interpretation of these odes. Seven odes have eminent place in the pre-islamic Arabic literature. These seven odes are considered the masterpieces of literature. These are translated and explained in different languages and styles. The writers of these translation quotated a lot of Quranic verses and Al-ahadith. It shows the influence of these sources on the said translations. We selected seven manuscripts to analyse and evaluate its styles, mechanics, methodology and language critically in the perspective of Quran and Hadith. We further identified pros and cons in Arabic translation and explanation of these seven odes.
