Abstract
Rhetoric is one of the basic sciences or uloom which is necessary for true understanding of the Quraan. Since 3rd century Hijri scholars started compiling the rules and regulations in this regard. Allama taftazani (died: 792 A.H) is one of the most effective personalities in this science and his work has a vital impact on coming generations. This article deals with Mulla Abdul Hakeem sialkoti's (Died: 1067A.H) hashia (Foot note) on Taftazani's most important work in rhetoric "Al-Mutawwal" and gives an opportunity to know about its quality ' scholarly worth and also demonstrate the contribution of subcontinent in this branch of Quranic and Islamic sciences.
