Abstract

This article provides a brief insight about the poet, Shabanal-Asari, his short biography and his literary contribution especially his poetry on the Prophet's (SAW) miracles. His complete name was Shaban bin Muhammad bin Dawood. He acquired knowledge from a great Imam of his era. The conditions of the miracles has been described in detail by him. The miracles of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and other prophets has been mentioned which has been referred by Shaban-al-Asari in his Badiyat. The article has been summarized in the last. Shaban-al-Asari is considered as one of the finest poets of his era. He has mentioned many types of Fan-i-Badi. His poetry hinges upon the praise of the Prophet (SAW). He served Islam diligently throughout his life. He is considered as one of the significant poets of the era of Mamluki. Many of his books were not published. Four Qasaid were written by him which were based on the praise and Madah of the Holy Prophet(SAW). This article also contains a reference to the poetic works of Shaban-alAsari which include Mojaza Shaq-ul-Qamar, Mojaza Baroda Naar Faris, Mojazat-ul-Hamama, Mojaza Shat imm Mabid, Mojaza Shafi Ayub, Mojaza Ma-o-Zamzam and many others. Shaban-al-Asari died in 828 Hijra in Mos ul.
