المرویات الوارده في سبب نزول: اِنْ جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌۢ بِنَبَاٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوْٓا- جمعاً ودراسة

Abstract

In this paper, researcher has made the analysis and tried to find out the context of the following holy verse (Sūrah Al-Ḥujurāt :6). He has further searched out all the sources that describe the circumstances and the incidents behind the revelation. The authenticity of every sources as per the standard of acceptance of Aḥādith set by the reverend, Muḥaddithēn. The researcher has made detailed analysis of context of the revelation of the holy words according the subject and brief analysis of the reference available has been made in this regard. As there is reference of great Ṣaḥābī in the given sources. That is why the discussion also throws light on the justice of Ṣaḥābah () in this paper the difference between ‘Kāfir’ and ‘Kufr’ and ‘Fāsiq’ and ‘Fisq’ has also been explained briefly. If the said quotation is associated with that Ṣaḥābī would it affect the judiciousness of the Ṣaḥābī. A part from this discussion also includes the description of Ya‘qūb Bin Ḥumaid Bin Kāsib about whom it was quoted and concluded that the said person is not the original narrator of Bukhārī and Muslim instead he has been condemned and discarded and his narration is unacceptable. In the end of discussion, a brief description of the results and benefits which were extracted during the discussion. The gist of the whole discussion lies in fact that given verse must be understand according to the rules and principles of its own when it is reported by someone and it must not be associated with the Ṣaḥābī, who has narrated it, because all the narrations given about the context of this verse are weak and unacceptable.
