Abstract

In the history, USA has always been marked by religious pluralism and diversity beginning with various native beliefs of pre-colonial time. Immigrants to USA, from different religious backgrounds greatly diversified the religious landscape. Muslims continued the preaching of Islam in different areas of USA, during colonial and precolonial era, resultantly multitudes of people embraced faith by accepting the Divine Message of Prophetic Mission of Islam. The teachings and divine legislation of Islam influenced the cultural values and social behaviors of American people and inspired millions of lives throughout the American region. In current era, according to statistical analyses a remarkable ratio of religious switching to Islam is observed in USA. A discussion has been premeditated on survey based research, to explore the motives and factors of accepting Islam in American region. It also elaborates the different kinds of motives for religious switching, including freedom of religion, comparative study of theological thoughts and compatibility with technological developments etc.
