Abstract
Ukraine whichhas been a dangerous flashpoint in recent months is situated in East-Central Europe. On its west it is bounded by Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Moldova and Romania, on the north by Belarus, on the northeast and east by Russia and on the south by the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
