Abstract
The world homeland has as varied and vast meanings as it is near and dear to everyone. Homeland for a bird means its nest, for a flower the homeland is its bough and a child considers his home as his homeland.Not only human beings but every living creature is ready to sacrifice everything for their homeland. The throne of the homeland is sweeter than the flowers of alien lands. The love and memories of homeland are inscribed on one's heart so much so that one can never forget his homeland. The love of homeland should be the most important purpose of one's life. Those who love their homeland do not need any reward for doing so. They are ready to sacrifice everything and anything they have for their homeland. It is permitted intoxication because of which everybody is ready to sacrifice even their lives. This is a god gifted and an in built passion which is there in everyone. According to a tradition of the holy Prophet PBUH the love of homeland is part of one's faith. This means one who is deprived of the love for homeland is deprived of faith. Many poets have expressed the love of homeland in their poetry and so did Ilia Abu Mai in his poetry.
