Abstract
This study aims to elaborate the legal status of the concept of life imprisonment in Islam and the relevant laws of Pakistan. In this study the Hudood (Divine limits of Islam) have been discussed in view of the four schools of thoughts. The Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) has been brought under discussion. The proofs have been provided form the Islamic laws sources, such as Quran, Sunnah and jurisprudence etc. Moreover, the issue has been highlighted with interviews of relevant scholars. The findings, conclusions and recommendations whatsoever have also mentioned.
