Abstract
Economic planning is essentially important to achieve economic development and other economic purposes in any economic system. As we see that in the present era every country in the world has adopted economic plan mandatory in some form in order to achieve economic goals. Consequently, economic planning is considered as an essential tool for achieving economic goals nowadays. In this context, it is pertinent to know the concept of economic planning in Islam, its characteristics and significance in the presence of well-articulated modern economic plans. This paper examines the concept of planning in the light of Islamic economic teachings.
